Very sturdy construction. Much better than I expected. I made whole wheat bread the other day and it didn’t even hesitate to blast through the dough.. The mixer is very quiet, does an excellent job. This is an absolutely wonderful mixer. I can even talk on the phone while using it it is so quiet.
